The Tarka takes our sustainable and ethical approach to bed making, using only the finest natural materials and our years of experience crafting beds by hand - and combines it with some space-saving smart thinking, to produce a bed that is not just pretty, but practical too.
We start with the Tarka bed base, which we handmake to order in our Devon workshop. Each base is available in our wide array of bright colour options from the children's Romo Linara range, or for a truly custom bed, can be upholstered in a fabric of your choice. The base is comprised of a solid timber frame, which we cover with the finest organic and natural materials. These include our locally sourced west country organic lambswool and a supportive layer of organic coconut fibres.
Within the base, concealed beneath a removable fabric valance, hides your secret sleepover weapon - another single bed. The trundle bed slides easily out from its hiding place on its attached castor wheels, with sturdy legs that snap securely into place. Hey presto, two proper beds!
Now all you have to worry about is actually getting your little ones to go to sleep...
